Under Armour – The athletic apparel maker reported a break-even quarter on an adjusted basis, compared to analyst forecasts of a 5 cents per share loss. Revenue beat forecasts, helped by stronger international sales.
Archer-Daniels Midland – The grain processor beat estimates by 18 cents a share, with adjusted quarterly profit of 68 cents per share. Revenue also topped forecasts. The company said market conditions have improved for many of its businesses, and that it is even more confident about 2018 full year performance.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi – The drug companies announced they would cut the price of the cholesterol drug Praluent for Express Scripts customers, in exchange for greater patient access.
Facebook – Wedbush added Facebook to its "Best Ideas" list, saying the company would weather the controversy surrounding the Cambridge Analytica data breach.

Akamai Technologies – Akamai reported adjusted quarterly profit of 79 cents per share, 9 cents a share above estimates. Revenue also beat forecasts. The provider of internet content delivery technology saw its results boosted by its push into cloud security.
Texas Roadhouse – Texas Roadhouse matched forecasts with quarterly profit of 76 cents per share, with its revenue slightly above estimates. Comparable-restaurant sales were higher by 4.9 percent at company-owned restaurants and 3.9 percent at franchised locations.
Cognex – Cognex came in 4 cents a share above Street forecasts, with adjusted quarterly profit of 24 cents per share. The maker of machine vision technology saw revenue miss forecasts and it also gave weaker-than-expected full-year guidance.
Tenet Healthcare – Tenet reported an unexpected quarterly profit, with revenue also beating forecasts. The hospital operator also issued strong full-year guidance as it benefited from lower costs and a jump in patient visits.

Intel – The chipmaker will receive $380 million from the Israeli government to expand its manufacturing operations in that country, according to Israeli financial newspaper Calcalist.
Citrix Systems – Citrix was added to the "Conviction Buy" list at Goldman Sachs, which notes stronger pricing in the software company's CSS support services offering.
US Foods – US Foods was downgraded to "sector perform" from "outperform" at RBC Capital, which points to overall food distribution industry stagnation.
NutriSystem – NutriSystem earned 9 cents per share for its latest quarter, beating forecasts by 3 cents a share. The diet plan provider also saw revenue come in above estimates. NutriSystem also raised its full-year forecast.
Roku – KeyBanc rates the maker of streaming video devices a "buy" in new coverage, saying it provides a unique platform in the growing streaming video market.
Travelers — The insurer earned an adjusted $2.40 per share for the third quarter, two cents a share above estimates. Revenue also came in above forecasts. Profit did fall from a year earlier, however, due to higher weather-related losses, but premiums did rise to a record high.
Verizon — Verizon beat estimates by two cents a share, with adjusted quarterly profit of $1.01 per share. Revenue fell slightly shy of analysts' forecasts, however. The company said it is in the midst of transforming itself in a "challenging environment," but noted strong profitability and customer loyalty.
American Airlines Group — The airline earned $1.76 per share for the third quarter, seven cents a share above estimates. Revenue was slightly above the Street's consensus. CEO Doug Parker noted the success of the company's integration efforts following its merger with US Airways.
Walgreens Boots Alliance — The drugstore operator beat estimates by eight cents a share, with adjusted quarterly profit of $1.07 per share, Revenue fell below forecasts, however. Comparable-store sales rose 3.2 percent compared to a year earlier.
Dunkin' Brands — The company earned an adjusted 60 cents per share for its latest quarter, one cent a share above estimates. Revenue missed forecasts, however, due to fewer openings and a drop in sales at Baskin-Robbins outlets.
Alaska Air — The airline came in 11 cents a share above estimates, with adjusted quarterly profit of $2.20 per share. Revenue was essentially in line with forecasts. Overall profit did fall due to costs related to Alaska Air's planned merger with Virgin America.
Bank of New York Mellon — The bank reported adjusted quarterly profit of 90 cents per share, nine cents a share above estimates. Revenue also beat Street forecasts. Bank of New York Mellon was helped by lower costs and an increase in revenue from a year earlier.
Quest Diagnostics — The medical lab operator came in two cents a share above estimates, with adjusted quarterly profit of $1.37 per share. Revenue was in line with forecasts. Quest also raised its full-year forecast, crediting its improved performance to expansion of its health system relationships.
American Express — The financial services company reporting adjusted quarterly profit of $1.24 per share, well above estimates of 97 cents a share. Revenue also beat forecasts. Additionally, Amex raised its earnings outlook for the year on better credit quality and increased emphasis on its platinum card.
Tesla Motors — Tesla announced that all of its new vehicles will be equipped with hardware that enables fully autonomous driving, with the automaker planning to have a vehicle drive itself from Los Angeles to New York by the end of 2017.
Wells Fargo — Wells Fargo is the subject of a criminal investigation by California's attorney general, centering on whether the creation of new accounts by the bank's sales staff involved identity theft.
Alphabet — Alphabet's Google unit reportedly reached a deal with CBS to carry the network on a soon to be launched online TV service, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Mattel — Mattel reported adjusted quarterly profit of 70 cents per share, one cent a share below estimates. Sales came in slightly above forecasts. The toy maker did see a strong rebound in Barbie-related sales as well as improvement in its American Girl business.
EBay — EBay came in one cent a share above estimates, with quarter profit of 45 cents per share. Revenue was slightly above forecasts, but the online retailer gave a current-quarter forecast that disappointed some investors.
Caesars Entertainment — The casino operator's deal with creditors to bring its operating unit out of bankruptcy protection has been brought under question by a lawyer for the government's bankruptcy watchdog, who said the deal must not violate the law even if all parties agree to it.
Tableau Software — Tableau remains on watch today after surging Wednesday on reports that it has explored a sale in recent months. The Wall Street Journal reported that the business software company worked on a sale this past summer before the effort failed.
Netflix — Netflix and 21st Century Fox are in a court battle over alleged employee poaching. Fox accuses Netflix of illegally hiring two employees who were under contract at Fox, but Netflix filed a complaint questioning the legality of those contracts.
Futures were mixed this morning after the Fed indicated that the pace of rate hikes would be slower. With the Wednesday surge, the Dow closed over 25,000 for the first time since Dec. 4, and the S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted their highest closes since Dec. 6. (CNBC)

Restoration Hardware — The luxury furnishings retailer reported adjusted quarterly profit of 20 cents per share, four cents above estimates. Revenue also beat forecasts, but the company gave weak current quarter guidance due to promotional activity.
Aflac — The disability insurer was cut to "underperform" from "market perform" at RBC, based on RBC's outlook for sluggish sales growth and various earnings headwinds.

AT&T — Vice Chairman Ralph de la Vega will retire on December 31 after 42 years at the company. De la Vega was responsible for the company's launch of the first iPhone, which at the time was an exclusive contract for AT&T.
Athene — Athene priced its initial public offering at $40 per share, in the middle of the expected $38 to $42 range, raising $1.1 billion. That makes the annuity provider's IPO the second largest of the year, behind ZTO Express, according to Dealogic.
Wells Fargo — The bank reportedly chose four of its directors, including chairman Stephen Sanger and vice chair Elizabeth Duke, for a panel that will lead an investigation into the recent sales practices scandal. Reuters reports the other two members are directors Enrique Hernandez and Donald James, and that all four are independent directors.

Hello. I have had a Samsung Galaxy S III phone as well as a 2013 Google Nexus Tablet. I plan on getting the newest Google Nexus Smartphone/Phablet that is coming out this year because I now have a desktop at home for internet, etc. & will no longer need my tablet in the future. In the past, I have downloaded a LOT of apps throughout both devices in which I currently have, & I'm looking forward to putting certain apps all under one roof through the next Google Nexus phone in the future. This is a list of apps for all of you to see in which I have previously downloaded or even bought. What I want are your opinions if there are any apps that I should get rid of or shouldn't bother keeping. If there are any better alternatives, then please provide them. "Why is this downvoted?" Reddit's system changes the vote numbers in order to combat spam bots. If you see something suspicious, remember we can't verify who is voting and keep in mind what Reddits main demographic is. The best response is simply to participate. As you get to know this sub, you will know when something doesn't reflect the actual sub, regardless of the votes. This issue only has impact if we let it.

"What is the Sino Archive?" It is a news link archive on wordpress that is categorized by many China/Chinese related topics, much more specific and comprehensive than the flair links. Updates are usually done by edits, not new posts. The most recent news will always be on top, the date of the article is visible. Updates when there is a large amount of links on a particular topic to archive. It's use is the same as any other archive and depends on who is using it. Travelers — The insurer earned an adjusted $2.40 per share for the third quarter, two cents a share above estimates. Revenue also came in above forecasts. Profit did fall from a year earlier, however, due to higher weather-related losses, but premiums did rise to a record high.
Verizon — Verizon beat estimates by two cents a share, with adjusted quarterly profit of $1.01 per share. Revenue fell slightly shy of analysts' forecasts, however. The company said it is in the midst of transforming itself in a "challenging environment," but noted strong profitability and customer loyalty.
American Airlines Group — The airline earned $1.76 per share for the third quarter, seven cents a share above estimates. Revenue was slightly above the Street's consensus. CEO Doug Parker noted the success of the company's integration efforts following its merger with US Airways.
Walgreens Boots Alliance — The drugstore operator beat estimates by eight cents a share, with adjusted quarterly profit of $1.07 per share, Revenue fell below forecasts, however. Comparable-store sales rose 3.2 percent compared to a year earlier.
Dunkin' Brands — The company earned an adjusted 60 cents per share for its latest quarter, one cent a share above estimates. Revenue missed forecasts, however, due to fewer openings and a drop in sales at Baskin-Robbins outlets.
Alaska Air — The airline came in 11 cents a share above estimates, with adjusted quarterly profit of $2.20 per share. Revenue was essentially in line with forecasts. Overall profit did fall due to costs related to Alaska Air's planned merger with Virgin America.
Bank of New York Mellon — The bank reported adjusted quarterly profit of 90 cents per share, nine cents a share above estimates. Revenue also beat Street forecasts. Bank of New York Mellon was helped by lower costs and an increase in revenue from a year earlier.
Quest Diagnostics — The medical lab operator came in two cents a share above estimates, with adjusted quarterly profit of $1.37 per share. Revenue was in line with forecasts. Quest also raised its full-year forecast, crediting its improved performance to expansion of its health system relationships.
American Express — The financial services company reporting adjusted quarterly profit of $1.24 per share, well above estimates of 97 cents a share. Revenue also beat forecasts. Additionally, Amex raised its earnings outlook for the year on better credit quality and increased emphasis on its platinum card.
Tesla Motors — Tesla announced that all of its new vehicles will be equipped with hardware that enables fully autonomous driving, with the automaker planning to have a vehicle drive itself from Los Angeles to New York by the end of 2017.
Wells Fargo — Wells Fargo is the subject of a criminal investigation by California's attorney general, centering on whether the creation of new accounts by the bank's sales staff involved identity theft.
Alphabet — Alphabet's Google unit reportedly reached a deal with CBS to carry the network on a soon to be launched online TV service, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Mattel — Mattel reported adjusted quarterly profit of 70 cents per share, one cent a share below estimates. Sales came in slightly above forecasts. The toy maker did see a strong rebound in Barbie-related sales as well as improvement in its American Girl business.
EBay — EBay came in one cent a share above estimates, with quarter profit of 45 cents per share. Revenue was slightly above forecasts, but the online retailer gave a current-quarter forecast that disappointed some investors.
Caesars Entertainment — The casino operator's deal with creditors to bring its operating unit out of bankruptcy protection has been brought under question by a lawyer for the government's bankruptcy watchdog, who said the deal must not violate the law even if all parties agree to it.
Tableau Software — Tableau remains on watch today after surging Wednesday on reports that it has explored a sale in recent months. The Wall Street Journal reported that the business software company worked on a sale this past summer before the effort failed.
Netflix — Netflix and 21st Century Fox are in a court battle over alleged employee poaching. Fox accuses Netflix of illegally hiring two employees who were under contract at Fox, but Netflix filed a complaint questioning the legality of those contracts.
